A few tacky shops and hawkers selling attraction tickets sort of spoil the ambience a bit, but there are great places to eat and just wander and take in the atmosphere. The people at the information centre were very helpful and happy to hand out maps and suggestions. Take the free ferry that takes you over the other side iof the river, it just goes straight over and then comes back but you get a great view looking back to the historic area. * Visited June 2011 Was this review helpful? A huge variety of food for a tiny town and you can walk and bike ANYWHERE. The only downside is usually parking. If you're not brave enough to parallel park a lot, pre-plan where you're parking in a lot and just be ready to pay. Do not pay some guy with a sign in a lot unless its St. Patrick's day. And if it is, just park wherever, ride a bike, or parachute in. It's the best you can do. Look for little and local places like Caraway, Starlander Cafe, Wasabi's Sushi, Zunzi's, Leopold's... if you come here to eat at Outback you are missing out. Was this review helpful?
