I'll have to track those down! ------------ Can anyone help with this one --> I thought the 'Is you Is, Is you Ain't my Baby' song that Tom sings (Tom & Jerry), was also a popular music piece of the time.. I can't find anything on it. Can anyone give me the real title and/or performer? -Mike -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- pseudowudo 12-17-2003, 01:11 AM Cool!! I totally enjoy reading these threads. ;) Here are the songs sung by Animated characters that is worth listening to: Tiny Toon Adentures Ep. # 90: Toon TV 'Video Games Blues' (adapted from Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite: Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy/Russian Dance") Plucky and Fowlmouth trade vocals on a tribute to Video Game addiction. I truly enjoyed listening to this song  'Toon Rap' (aka 'Toon Out, Toon In') "Vanilla Lice" raps about the various characters in Acme Acres (Plucky Duck, Elmyra, and Go-Go Do-Do also rapped in this Hilarious get-up) The Simpson's Sings the Blues 'Everybody do the Bartman' I love this song from the Simpson's first record/cd album debut, and it has been a long time since I last saw it, will they ever show it again? The Little Mermaid 'Under The Sea' 'Poor, Unfortunate Souls' 'The Prince of Egypt' 'Let there Be Miracles' 'Let my People Go!' Cartman singing "I love to Sing-a" from South Park. Classic nod to a great WB toon. The goofy J-pop song Linna and Ameilia sing from (I think) Slayers Next series. Actually I just get a kick seeing the characters in bunny ears. Fred Flinstone's version of "Listen to the Mockingbird" ("Pow! Yeah!") And the all but forgotten it seems openning theme to SNL cartoon "Tippy Turtle". I think it went something like... Chorus: "Hey Tippy Turtle, Whatcha doin' Tippy Turtle?" Tippy: "First I'm going to bother everybody I meet, then I'll go home and get drunk." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Davesnothere 12-18-2003, 12:06 AM I thought the 'Is you Is, Is you Ain't my Baby' song that Tom sings (Tom & Jerry), was also a popular music piece of the time.. Thank you! I'm on a quest now to find it. I just also realized that I don't have the Al (Owl) Jolson/Cab Calloway 'I Love to Singa' in the library either -- how could I miss that! Another quest! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Skeeter 12-20-2003, 12:49 AM The Greatest Adventure from the Rankin/Bass version of The Hobbit. One of the first animated movies that I can remember seeing, and also what got me hooked on Tolkien. Les Miseranimals from Animaniacs, and I mean the whole liberetto. The take on Les Miserables was brilliant from start to finish, and it's one of my favorite Rita & Runt shorts. Someone's Waiting For You and The Journey from Disney's The Rescuers are tied as favorites. Both sad, poigniant songs. I like sad, poigniant songs. Messing Around in Boats from the Rankin/Bass version of The Wind in the Willows. Why? Because Ratty sang it, and Ratty was voiced by the late Roddy McDowall and Roddy is an awesome singer. -Skeeter -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ZJP 12-20-2003, 03:23 AM Eric Cartman - "Come Sail Away" Terrence and Phillip - "Uncle ****a" South Park - "What Would Brian Boitano do?" I love almost every song in Southpark. Especially the "vote or die" song by "P.Diddy" and the Dradle Song parody in the Christmas musical episode... Kyle's dad's part was my favorite. I like a couple of songs in the Little Mermaid Series, especially the one on harmony, but I haven't seen that episode in a long time. (but I think Jodie Benson has a great voice). Anyway, I also like how Dexter's mother sings (in that opera episode thing) especially the "do your breathing do your breathing do your breathing" part. There are plenty of others. Oh... I think Brian sings a song at the end of a Family Guy episode I think where he is with an old woman or something... I don't remember it that well, but that sounded really good... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- vBulletin(R) v3.8.2, Copyright (c)2000-2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
